Salary:£52,638 - £63,189

Hours:36 hours per week

Working pattern:Full Time, Permanent position

These new posts have been created following a review of the structure and strategic report functions within the Adult Social Care Service (services for people with learning disabilities).

One of the posts within the Learning Disabilities Service will support the Service Manager in managing a complex and challenging network of frontline care services and in the implementation of large-scale countywide service developments. You will be required to develop and deliver services integrated with health and enable more people to live as independently as possible. The second post will have a countywide remit to develop special projects with a health interface focus.

For both posts, sound and proven leadership skills are essential as you’ll have delegated responsibility for the operational service across a range of teams, working in complex demanding and high-risk settings. It will also require you to deputise for, and represent, the service manager at times.

You’ll be expected to display and promote the values and behaviours that underpin the strategy of the County Council.

Educated to degree level, you’ll be expected to have management experience in a health or social care setting, have a social work, occupational therapy or relevant health care qualification and have current registration with the relevant bodies.

An enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure check will be required for this role.
