In April 2009 we transform into two new agencies: the Housing and Communities Agency, responsible for investing in new affordable homes throughout England; and the Office for Tenants and Social Landlords, tasked with promoting and protecting the interests of residents in affordable housing. In this key leadership role, you’ll oversee all investment activity in the Yorkshire & Humberside region. Responsible for an investment budget for 2008/2011 of over £314m, your primary focus is to create and implement investment programmes that translate Ministerial and Regional Housing Board priorities and corporate strategic objectives into manageable and effective programmes for the delivery of affordable housing.
A key player in the Yorkshire & Humberside region, you must be able to contribute to and influence investment strategies and policies that ensure the creation of good quality new affordable homes and sustainable neighbourhoods.You’ll also manage our relationships with key external stakeholders and partners such as local authorities, national and regional agencies, investment partners and other developers.
Your experience will include informing the production of investment strategies and delivering sustainable programmes. Experienced at managing and leading staff, you will have strong relationship skills and the ability to manage a significant budget. You will also be able to understand and interpret housing sector issues.
