We are looking for a strategically minded individual with previous experience managing a wide-ranging operational role. You will be joining us at an exciting time when a new integrated waste strategy will be implemented for our in-house service, expanding our already very successful waste management and recycling services. We are also tackling anti-social behaviour like never before.
As Head of Neighbourhood Services, you’ll focus on; continual improvement to our waste management systems, a clean and litter free Borough and well-maintained Parks.
To this end, you’ll manage 180 staff within the service unit, control major budgets, and take charge of appointing and monitoring staff, suppliers and contractors. Always with a clear focus on providing our residents with the very best possible service.
You’ll need degree-level education and a sound knowledge of waste and recycling, together with strong staff and financial management skills. You’ll also need to be comfortable making change happen and you’ll be happy developing strong working relationships with several partner organisations.
There’ll be all the support you need from a senior management team that is willing and able to invest in your success.
