Strategic Planning and Regeneration, Adult and Community Learning Service

Islington Adult and Community Learning Service provides First Steps learning opportunities to disadvantaged and vulnerable adult learners in Islington to improve their quality of life and life chances. We work in partnership with voluntary and community organisations to deliver ICT at entry level and level one, with a mixture of both non-accredited and accredited provision.

We are looking for one part-time ICT tutor, who can help us to build ICT into an inclusive and engaging curriculum area that responds to learners’ needs. We want subject experts who are enthusiastic, good at working in partnership and have extensive experience of supporting hard to reach adult learners. You will be fully qualified to teach in the adult learning sector with Institute for Learning (IfL) membership. You will have innovative and exciting ideas of how we can reach learners and support them to achieve and progress.

In return, we will offer 25 days annual leave pr rata; flexible hours working system of 17.5 hours per week; interest free season ticket loan; essential cycle user allowance if you use your own bicycle at work; final salary pension;

A realistic teaching load of up to a maximum of 12 hours per week with opportunities to further your knowledge through professional development.

This post will require you to undertake a satisfactory enhanced level, Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) Clearance.
