The Vale of White Horse District Council is an LSVT Authority with retained responsibility for managing the Statutory Housing Register, housing advice and homelessness services. We are looking for an experienced and committed housing professional seeking a new challenge.
As part of the Housing Advice Team your main role will be to advise and assist people in housing need to prevent them from becoming homeless. You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive housing advice service to clients, as well as fulfilling the Council’s statutory duties towards the homeless. You will need at least 2 years experience of working in a housing environment (preferably in a homelessness or housing advice department), a Housing or Environmental Health qualification and a current driving licence.
