Revenues and Benefits Service

The Revenues and Benefits Service is based in the centre of Bradford, and deals with the billing, collection and enforcement of Council Tax, Business Rates and other debts owing to the Council. It is also responsible for the payment of invoices the Council receives. We currently have several vacancies and we are looking to recruit those who have relevant work experience and other attributes.

  • Do you have good PC skills?
  • Do you have at least 5 GCSE’s (A-C), or equivalent, including Maths and English Language or proven ability to work at this level?
  • Have you at least 2 years clerical experience which has involved the use of computerised systems and dealing with customers either face-to-face or on the telephone?

We use on-line computer and workflow document management systems and increasingly utilize our Internet and Intranet sites.
Successful candidates would normally be expected to start at the bottom of the grade. Progression through the salary grades is subject to both laid down timescales and the successful achievement of performance related criteria.

Whilst posts are available for full time and job share applications, we would welcome applications for part time posts from candidates available for work between the hours of 12.00pm and 7.00pm.
