We are looking for commercially aware people who are skilled in negotiation with national providers and who are not afraid to challenge to ensure good quality outcomes and value for money in the delivery of our commissioning intentions. A sound understanding of commissioning, procurement and contract management, ideally in a public sector health and social care setting, is essential.
The successful applicant will also be expected to collaborate with locality based Adult Social Care commissioners and Procurement colleagues to review and develop commissioning options and service specifications. To do so it is important that you are able to form effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, that you have an eye for detail and can make decisions based on evidence.
