This is a one year fixed term contract for an apprentice opportunity.

You will be fully supported and mentored as you provide administrative support to range of projects and customer-focused services.

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about starting a career in local government and keen to work in an office environment. Skilled in using computers and note taking, you will bring a mature outlook, strong organisational skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels.

You’ll also need three GCSEs grade A to C, or equivalent including Maths and English.

Our apprenticeship scheme provides a perfect way to earn a wage while you gain vital work experience and an NVQ qualification. The scheme is designed and funded for 16 to 24 year olds (from August 2013 the age range will be 16 – 23) who are living and entitled to work in England, don’t have degrees, and are not in full-time education. When you’ve finished, we’ll help you to find a permanent role. Upon attending an interview you will be need to be able to show you meet the above requirements to be considered for an apprenticeship.
