Two Year Fixed Term Contract

Main Purpose Of Job

Medway Council are looking for two Engineering Assistant Apprentices, one to work in the Road Safety Engineering Section and one to work with the Traffic Management Team.

Road Safety Engineering Section

Assist delivery of Medway Council’s Road Safety Engineering Section by supporting engineering and data analysis staff with accident investigation, local safety scheme development and implementation.

Traffic Management Team

To assist delivery of traffic management schemes (including parking, highway improvements, highway signing and roadworks) and traffic regulation order preparation.

Both post holders will assist with enquiries generated from customer contact.

Both post holders will attend college one day per week and be expected to successfully complete a two-year HNC in Civil Engineering qualification.
