We are currently offering an Apprenticeship at NVQ Level 2 so, if you want to start building your career, an Apprenticeship Programme with Medway Council is the perfect way.
We will help you all the way with quality training and support from experienced Council staff. You will have the chance to learn new skills, gain qualifications and earn a training allowance of £80 per week. You will gain on the job experience, attend off the job training and work towards qualifications including NVQ 2 in Business Administration, preparing you for the world of work.
Administration roles vary in different departments, according to whether they are in Personnel, Planning, Education, Transport, etc. The Learning and Organisational Development Service provides training and learning opportunities for Medway Council employees and works closely with all the services across the council. The successful candidate will join a busy team in undertaking administrative support for the service.
Duties will include: administrative support for all in-house learning programmes, qualifications and activities; this will include setting up rooms, meeting and greeting training providers and participants; setting up and maintaining course records and filing systems as required; answering telephone enquiries; providing information on availability of places on courses; providing general administrative support including word processing, using emails, filing, photocopying, mail distribution; support to meetings as required and support for in-house qualifications including NVQs.
