The Registration and Electoral Services is part of the Democratic Services division within the Council and we are looking for a young apprentice to experience working across both these services. This role will also give you the opportunity to learn various general office administrative duties including filing, photo copying, post opening, faxing and using Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel.
As part of the Electoral Services you will provide administrative support in the compilation and maintenance of the electoral register, and assist in the organisation of elections in the borough.
As part of the Registration Services you will be working on the reception and giving administrative support in the registration of births, marriages, civil partnerships and deaths.
You will be dealing with customers and corresponding with a wide range of people. If you have the interest and skills to meet our high standards of customer care and information quality, we would like to hear from you.
The successful candidate will also study for a suitable NVQ qualification and be fully supported throughout the course.
