The Procurement team are looking for a Procurement Administrator to join their social care category whilst undertaking an apprenticeship in Business Administration (Level 3).
The team provide support to other departments by helping them use their budgets effectively and ensuring that the money the Council spends with service providers provides best value to the city's residents.
The social care category focusses on areas such as Adult Social Care, Childrens Services and Public Health. This role provides an opportunity to learn more about this sector and make a real difference to people using our services.
Main advert detail
The main purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to the team, which will comprise of a large variety of different tasks, spanning different projects. You will be able to learn skills such as project management and financial analysis and gain an insight into how services are designed and commissioned.
This is an opportunity to achieve a nationally recognised qualification (Business Admin Level 3) and a training allowance of £13,409 per annum.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the team, with an interest in learning more about social care and procurement. Good English and Maths skills are required, with a minimum of A-C (1-4) at GCSE.
The course is run by City College Brighton & Hove, who are responsible for supporting you with your learning and carrying out assessments. The course has core modules to complete and a number of optional units. Your work experience will be linked in to the modules and units on your course. You will receive support from a nominated mentor throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship.
