Area Officer

The council has a corporate priority to improve and enhance the maintenance of its Street Scene.

We are looking for an Area Officer to assist in developing our services to meet the challenges of our highways, waste and ground maintenance targets. The postholder will be part of a team formed to improve the local Street Scene services provided to the public of North Somerset.

Applicants will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of one or more of the following disciplines: Highways Maintenance, Waste Management or Grounds Maintenance. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated with good organisational skills and able to work to tight deadlines. You must also be able to effectively communicate standards required of others, and to provide a lead on the service.
