Community Safety Division
Safety is the top concern of Newham’s residents. Over the next 12 months we are planning to spend almost £10m on making the Borough safer by reducing crime and diverting people from anti-social behaviour.
We are restructuring our Community Safety Service to ensure we get the most from our work with the police and other partners. We are working with residents to understand different problems in different areas and targeting enforcement, alongside the police, to tackle those problems. Crime figures in Newham are coming down and we want that to continue.
