Bournemouth University has a central Research and Knowledge Exchange Operations Team (RKE Operations), which supports the administration of funding applications to external bodies. We are seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Management Accountant to support the budget management process.
As one of the RKE Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in providing support for the University’s research and knowledge exchange activities, as well as being the first point of contact for the University’s Business Accountants, who oversee the financial management of the University’s Schools and Professional Services.
You will have previous experience of working in a busy office environment, ideally with an awareness of the research and/or knowledge exchange environment. You must be either AAT qualified or part qualified ACCA or CIMA and must be customer focused, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to make a difference.
You will take a proactive role in preparing budgets, forecasts, and reconciling and analysing financial information whilst liaising closely with the Business Accountants. You will also play an important role in reviewing and developing systems and ensuring robust management information is available and reported in a timely and appropriate manner.
