With an NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, you will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day duties of the Day Service, supporting the manager and deputy in their responsibilities and covering in their absence. Working in a highly supportive team, your motivation and strategic planning ability will help the Day Service to maintain a high level of service provision.
Your communication skills both verbally and in writing will enable you to liaise with staff, partners, carers and service users alike, and good computer literacy will be essential. Previous experience in a professional caring role with adults is essential and you will be required to demonstrate how your work puts the person at the centre of your practice, as is your ability to develop professional relationships with carers and other agencies and professionals. Supervising the members of your team, you will monitor performance, implementing appropriate policies and procedures, tracking all information on computerised systems. Problem solving initiative and exemplary interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be required to give clear direction to staff, providing feedback where appropriate.
