COMMUNITY CARE SERVICES
Hobkirk House Resource Centre is a vibrant and friendly Care Centre for older people in New Malden. The Centre has very high standards of care for the 44 people living there and an enthusiastic and motivated care team. Residents enjoy living at Hobkirk House as they receive support to continue their lives to the full. Hobkirk House uses a personal centred approach called the Eden Alternative to ensure that all the residents get the best out of their daily lives.
We are looking for motivated individuals to join our dedicated team in providing high quality personal, practical and emotional support to our residents. In return you will receive full training, generous annual leave, pension scheme and job progression scheme.
Within the Home, nursing placements are used flexibly to provide short and long stay, continuing care, including respite, rehabilitation, assessment and interim care. We work in partnership with Kingston Primary Care Trust.
In order to continue to provide high quality care while positively promoting independence with all the service users, we are looking to recruit a Staff Nurse to assist the Resource Centre Manager. You will take responsibility for the efficient management of the Care Home, and to be pro-active in leading the Care Officers to ensure that they were aware of, and adhere to national and local policies, guidelines and legislation.
You must have First Level RGN registration and preferably a post-registration qualification in Elderly Care. You will be committed to, and have experience of, high quality care for Older People, and have sound knowledge and commitment to the Intermediate Care Process and Person Centred Care.
We are committed to offering training and encouraging professional development in all our staff. The post is 36 hours per week and your hours will be worked on a three-week rota, which will include weekend duties.
