In the Royal Borough, we have a dedicated team for Children in Care and Young People Leaving Care.

If you are committed to working with children and young people and feel that you can effectively contribute to the work of the service, we are interested in hearing from you.

The Assistant Team Manager (ATM) will have a crucial role in improving outcomes for Children in Care & Leaving Care, modelling good practice and providing supervision to Social Workers and Personal Advisors.

This is an ideal post for an experienced ATM, who would like the challenge in working within a statutory setting or an experience practitioner who is looking to develop their managerial skills.We are looking for a Social Worker with significant post qualification experience. You must be capable, creative and enjoy a challenge and managing change, with a good knowledge of children in care, leaving care and adoption processes to enable you to effectively supervise Social Workers.In return, we will offer you a positive working environment, regular supervision and the opportunities for continued career development.You will be required to hold a Professional qualification (DipSW/CQSW/CSS or equivalent) and registered with the GSCC.

The post will require some evening work, chairing planning meetings etc.
