Assistant Team Manager, Family Placement

Our Family Placement team works across the range – foster care, adoption, connected person’s care and private fostering. You’ll be one of two assistant team managers working with the manager in running the team day to day and contribute to staff development; have the opportunity to develop a specialism and benefit from Bracknell Forest’s commitment to staff training and development.

You’ll be part of an established and dedicated Family Placement Team; be able to extend your practice and have the potential of a lead specialist role. We achieved a Good with outstanding features in the latest fostering Ofsted inspection in 2011 and a Satisfactory in adoption in 2009. We are determined and well supported to improve!

As a qualified and GSCC registered Social Worker with experience of working within a family placement setting you will have a sound understanding of the legislative framework in this area. Above all, you’ll understand the critical role that the Family Placement Team plays in underpinning the effectiveness of children’s social care.

Excellent peer support from the other Assistant Team Managers is available and all Managers demonstrate an unwavering commitment to improve the life chances and outcomes for children.
