Location:Bromley 

Focused on co-ordinating and providing a national first-class service, you will develop as well as deliver literacy, numeracy, and language training programmes for groups of customers and individuals. You’ll ensure that initial assessments and diagnostic testing are undertaken, and support customers in taking recognised accreditations, such as Level 1 and 2 tests in literacy and numeracy.

This role is about more than skills, it’s about changing lives. You will help to build customers’ confidence and self-esteem through the development of appropriate training materials and support measures. You’ll collaborate with a range of colleagues to tackle barriers, from Employment Support Officers to partners in support agencies. Succeed, and our customers will move on to better education, training, and job opportunities.

The requirements

• Able to undertake Skills for Life assessments, you will have or be working towards a Level 3 certificate in Delivering Basic Skills to Adults.
• This will be matched by experience of delivering Skills for Life workshops and sessions to the long-term unemployed.
• Develop a national Skills for Life programme offer for all our customers
• A sound understanding of awarding body requirements for delivering adult national qualifications at entry levels 1, 2, and 3 and levels 1 and 2 will be essential.
• You’ll also need the flexibility to work outside your region as well as some evenings and weekends to meet the needs of our customers and the business.
