This post represents an ideal opportunity to commence a career within Revenue Services. You will work within the Benefits Section dealing with the verification of claims for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit.
You must be able to assimilate and verify information provided by claimants, and prepare claims ready for assessment using computer systems. A sound knowledge and experience of using computer systems and applications is therefore essential.
You must be enthusiastic and motivated with a positive “can do” approach and respond well to working in a pressurised environment. You must be able to demonstrate a real commitment to providing excellent Customer Care and a top quality service.
You must have effective verbal and written communication skills and possess at least 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including English and Maths, or have an equivalent qualification. You must have previous experience of working with the public.
- Note, the Council is currently implementing a new pay and grading structure and salary may be subject to change.
