We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly self-motivated individual who is capable of delivering a high quality technical service to our clients, in a very competitive environment. You will be working as part of a small, motivated and professional team in a varied and interesting role.
You will have very good verbal and written communications skills, alongside an ability and the confidence to provide advice and guidance to customers as well as build good working relationships with agents, architects and builders. You also have strong powers of initiative and problem solving, with good organisational and time management skills.
You must have excellent knowledge of the Building Acts, Building Regulations, Approved Inspector legislation and a good understanding of Local Authority Building Control and associated legislation, policy trends and legal processes.
You’ll be expected to provide advice and assistance to members of the public and other in-house departments on professional Building Control matters.
You must be IT literate with the ability to adapt to new technology and be able to communicate well at all levels. A full current driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential, and you will also be required to join our out of hours rota for dangerous structures call out.
