Building Control Surveyor

Join our Building Control Team based in our attractive modern office environment in the historic town of Witney. The Council was voted no 20 in the Times Best Councils to Work for Survey 2007. You would be working in a beautiful area (part AONB) which is also subject to significant development.

We are looking for a team player with logical problem-solving skills capable of dealing with a wide range of domestic and commercial constructions throughout the district. You will provide professional advice on all aspects of building regulations to a wide variety of clients.

Your role will include checking plans, inspection of work during construction, keeping accurate records, managing costs and ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction. You will also deal with dangerous structures, the demolition of buildings and assist in the monitoring of planning issues.

You will have experience of Building Control and be up-to-date with current building regulations and relevant Health and Safety matters. A minimum of three years’ experience of supervising construction projects is required with at least Associate Membership of ABE/RICS or equivalent.
