South East Consortium (SEC) Buyer
Fixed Term 12 months with possibility of extension.
Salary up to £35,000 p.a. plus additional car allowance.
Post based in Sittingbourne in Kent.

The South East Consortium is seeking to appoint a Buyer to its team.

This is a fixed term appointment for a period of 12 months, with a possibility of an extension subject to budget availability and performance.

The South East Consortium comprises a number of Housing Associations and Local Authorities working in London and the South East and through joint procurements and value engineering has made significant efficiency gains for members. The small but dedicated SEC team now requires a Buyer to undertake project management responsibility for the current procurement programme. Reporting to the SEC Programme Manager this is an exciting opportunity to develop your procurement skills in the social housing sector, working with a diverse group of Consortium members and enthusiastic SEC staff.

You will need to be a self-starter with a good understanding of, and experience of working in compliance with, EU and UK Procurement legislation. Experience of managing procurement processes in the social housing sector from inception to contract start-up is essential, as is the ability to drive projects forward, managing competing, sometimes conflicting, priorities.

If you would like to discuss this role further please contact Haley Richmond, SEC Programme & Project Manager on 01795 434692 who will be happy to provide more information.
