Cancer Information and Support Specialist (Mobile Information Service)

Our Mobile Information and Support Service team visit high streets, communities, workplaces and events to provide information and support on a free and confidential basis. This role is an excellent opportunity to become involved in widening the provision of this priceless, high quality service to people affected by and living with cancer.

Working as part of a dynamic, innovative and high achieving team you will look to build effective relationships with local partners and ensure our service meets the needs of different target communities, adapting your information delivery style as appropriate.

To succeed will require excellent communication skills, developed relationship building skills and substantial and relevant experience in the health and cancer care arena. You’ll have already worked to provide services in a range of community and hospital settings and with local health and social services.

Your track record must also demonstrate the results focus, facilitation and planning skills to successfully implement and manage new projects, including quality audit frameworks and the pursuit of best practice in service provision.

The role involves extensive travel across the whole North of England and Midlands region, working regularly in a wide variety of locations requiring some evening, overnight and weekend travel. A full driving license is essential.
