Location:SW12 9LU 

We are currently seeking to recruit a Permanent Care and Support Manager to have direct day to day responsibility for the organisation and management of a designated service contract with responsibility for supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities in the community.

You will be responsible for leading a staff team in the provision of quality, cost effective care services in accordance with MST policies and procedures and ensure the service complies with the Care Standards Act and Regulations, General Social Care Council codes of practice, and other legal requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience of managing care or support services in a residential, social or health care setting whilst leading and motivating staff. A working knowledge of the Care Standards Act, the Care Homes Regulations, the National Minimum Standards, and of the role and function of the Care Quality Commission is essential.

It is essential that you have experience of planned strategic intervention with people with challenging needs, and an understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable people with care and support needs and how those needs may be met and experience of change management is also essential.

Knowledge and understanding of the principles underlying care in the community and of best practice in the field of learning disability alongside knowledge of the law as it impacts upon the service user group. Knowledge and experience of service user involvement is also essential. It is essential that the successful candidate has the ability to participate in managers on call rota and the availability for working unsocial, weekend and public holidays on a rota basis.
