We are currently seeking to recruit a Care and Support Worker (Non Registered Floating Support) on an interim basis for 18 months.

To be successful in gaining this role it is essential that you have experience of providing home care/personal care and support to vulnerable people (voluntary experience also qualifies), an understanding of the service user group, relevant statutory authorities and legislation. Knowledge of health & safety issues relating to care & support of vulnerable people is also essential.

You must also have the ability to work flexibly to meet service user and service requirements which includes working unsociable hours, weekends and public holidays on a 24 hours rota basis, an NVQ level 2 in related subject area or equivalent, or a willingness to undertake NVQ training and the ability to undertake moving and handling tasks (including pushing of wheelchairs).

The successful applicant will hold a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle including insurance for business purposes.

It is desirable that you have knowledge of the welfare benefits system, a basic level of IT literacy and experience of working with the service user group.

Due to the nature of this post, an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check will be undertaken for the successful applicant but only with their prior consent.
