Location:Based in Weston-super-Mare 

An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and willing person to join the team at Birnbeck & Severn Day Centres as a Care Assistant. The day centres offer day care to older people suffering from dementia and other functional mental illnesses.

The focus of the posts will be to assist service users in maintaining their dignity, privacy, independence, choice, rights, risk taking, spiritual and emotional needs.

The successful applicant will have previous experience working in a care environment, together with a knowledge of working with people with dementia or other mental illness. The department and management team will provide induction and training

NVQ level 2 qualification in Care is desirable.

You will be required to work hours as required including some weekends and Bank Holiday working, for which enhancements are payable.
