Care Assistant/Transport Attendant

Working as a care assistant/ transport attendant in one of Doncaster’s leading Day Centres, to be part of the staff team that deliver a service of care and rehabilitation to service users with social and physical needs.

To work with the driver of the vehicle to transport service users to and from the centre.

To ensure the service users are assisted from their homes (providing practical help where required with outdoor clothing etc) to the vehicle in accordance with health and safety practices

The centre can accommodate up to 100 service users on a daily basis, we also have a unit that caters for people with a diagnosis of dementia.

You will be required to assist with a variety of tasks such as bathing, dressing and personal hygiene, or simply a quiet chat to give emotional support and a prompt assistance where needed.

We offer full in-house training and induction to meet your individual needs, we also offer excellent conditions of service including generous annual leave and bank holidays.

Previous experience of working with this particular client group, within a residential, hospital or personal community setting is desirable but not essential

This post will require the successful candidate to work a split shift – 8.45am to 11.09am & 2.36pm to 5pm and would be willing to be flexible.
