Care Officer

We currently have a Care Officer vacancy 35 hours per week at Park Barn Centre.

The centre provide an environment in which older people can maintain their independence, whilst offering support and assistance when required. Working as part of a team and reporting to the Day Centre Manager, you will be responsible for organising social and educational activities that enhance the range of services on offer to the client group.

Teamwork is very important, and therefore a flexible, adaptable attitude and a good sense of humour will be essential. Full manual handling training will be provided, as the role may require occasional physical effort. Knowledge and experience in a Social Care environment would be an asset, as would an NVQ in Care.

Childcare vouchers are officer to all staff. An enhanced CRB check is required for all positions and these are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974)
