We are currently seeking 2 Care and Support Workers to provide personal care, home care and housing related support to vulnerable adults. To work flexibly to ensure individual needs are met whilst maximising independence and choice and respecting privacy and dignity.
To be successful in this role it is essential that you have experience of providing home care or personal care and support to vulnerable people (voluntary experience also qualifies)and the following skills and experience:
• Understanding of the Service User group and relevant statutory authorities and legislation
• Knowledge of health and safety issues relating to care and support of vulnerable people
• Experience of producing Support Plans and Risk Assessments
• Availability for working unsocial hours, weekends and public holidays on a rota basis
• Ability to undertake moving and handling tasks (including pushing of wheelchairs)
• NVQ Level 2 in related subject area or equivalent, or a willingness to undertake NVQ training
It is desirable for the appointed candidate to have knowledge of the welfare benefits system and experience of working with the Service User group.
You will also need to possess a basic level of IT literacy. A definition of the term ‘basic’ can be found in the job profile. Due to the nature of this post, a Criminal Records Bureau check will be undertaken for the successful applicant, but only with their prior consent.

Salary: £18,705 per annum
Hours: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week to include working 7 days a week on a 24 hours rota basis, shift work, unsociable hours, sleepovers, on call duties, potentially weekends and public holidays
