Care & Support Worker

We are looking to recruit a Full Time Support Worker, working 37.5 hours a week, to work in our residential care home in Harold Hill – Romford which provides care to adults with learning disabilities.

The postholder will be responsible for supporting and developing life skills for the service-users within the home. To be able to support people in their daily lives which may include personal care and preparing meals. To work as a keyworker if required and to be able to develop support plans, risk assessments etc. To liaise with external agencies and community support groups. To work on their own initiative and as part of a team and to undertake training as required.

You must have good communication skills and be able to understand the needs of people with learning disabilities.

NVQ level 2 in Health & Social Care is desirable, but essentially you must have experience working within a similar residential care setting.If this is something you are interested in then please apply!
