This role is subject to an Enhanced CRB

Vadnie Bish House has a provision for a day nursery, facilitates family contact and provides a drop-in centre for leaving care clients, you will be responsible for opening the building at 7.30am Monday to Friday. You will set up meeting rooms, welcome guests on reception, assist with reception cover, as well as carry out portering, gardening, cleaning and maintenance/minor repair duties.

You will need to be a good team worker and communicator, both written and verbally, who can interact with others and provide a responsive service. Key Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Experience of IT using MS Office
  • Experience of providing an effective, flexible and accessible user responsive caretaking service
  • Experience of identifying health and safety hazards and take appropriate action
  • Ability to clean and maintain buildings to a high standard
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Ability to carry out minor repairs with appropriate training
