Casual Care Assistants

Ebdon Court provides residential and day care services to older adults with mental health issues, dementia and Alzheimers Disease.

We require casual “bank” staff to provide cover for staff holiday, sick and training absence. Some Bank Holiday or weekend work may be required – for which enhancements are payable.

The successful applicants will need to help create and maintain a supportive, stimulating atmosphere and to meet both individual and group needs of service users by enabling them to maximise their independence, choice to give physical, social and emotional care and support when necessary.

The postholders must have at least 6 months previous experience of working in a care environment and should show a sensitive and understanding approach and have excellent communication skills. The successful applicants would preferably have experience of working with the service user group in question. NVQ Level 2 in care qualification or working towards is required.

This post is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitations of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.
