This is a great opportunity for people who have experience of working with young people, who may be interested in developing their skills and experience with young people in the criminal justice system. Jobs are available to work with Young People on a sessional basis. Opportunities are during the week and weekends across the borough.
Islington has a number of opportunities on a sessional basis to work with young people on a number of Reparation, Unpaid Work and other projects designed to reduce their risk of reoffending .These are young people who are on court ordered interventions and the projects are used to assist them to give something back to the community in recognition for the harm caused by their offending.
You will be supervising these young people in the community who will be taking on projects and provide written feedback on each young person in relation to their attendance and level of engagement.
You will be employed on an ‘as and when basis’ and will be paid on an hourly basis with extra payment for annual leave calculated pro-rata quarterly in arrears.
Minimum hours per shift will be that of 3, although more hours and shifts are available dependant on your availability and the needs of the service.
