We are currently seeking an innovative and engaging Champion for Digital Inclusion to join our well established but highly ambitious organisation. This is an exciting time to join Catalyst as we embark on an accelerated period of growth and change with a clear plan to push forward the Commercial arm of our business.

As the Champion for Digital Inclusion, your role is to ensure customers who do not have (or have limited) digital skills or access to a device to carry out basic activity online are identified and offered support. You will create and deliver a pilot digital inclusion project - engaging effectively with individuals, groups and partner organisations helping to reach our goal of having 80% of customers communicating with Catalyst online by 2020. As part of our accredited Volunteer Project, you will work with Catalyst Gateway colleagues to recruit and support volunteers to become ‘Digital Champions’. Maintaining robust reporting records for all support and advice provided is a must.
As the Digital Inclusion Co-ordinator you will have a proven track record as a strong leader and a working knowledge of the digital inclusion agenda, with an enthusiasm for learning. You will be able to expertly engage, communicate and train a range of customers on topics such as use of social media, use of email, Skype, online shopping, information gathering, and using the web for employment opportunities and applying for Welfare Benefits. So having a strong interest in social media and new digital innovations is a must. A willingness to work across Catalyst housing geographical areas, using and promoting Catalyst community hubs and other appropriate locations.
