Salary:Scale S01 (Spine points 29-31, £27,945 - £29,571)

Location:Hitherfield and Streatham Wells Children’s Centre Partnership Hitherfield Road, Streatham 

  • Start date: 1stSeptember 2012, or soon after

This is an exciting time for Children’s Centres in Lambeth with the creation of a new partnership between two popular Children’s Centres.

We wish to appoint an outstanding individual who has the ability and drive to work effectively with our local community to support and encourage families to access the wide range of services available to them. This is a permanent position and some Saturday work may be required.

You should:

· Have a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 qualification in a related field

· Have at least 2 years experience of working with families with children under 5 years of age

· Have a passion for improving the lives of all families in the local area

· Have detailed knowledge and understanding of the relationship between housing, health, child development and education in relation to expectant mothers, parents and children under 5 and how to assess them

· Be a team player, willing and able to work with, take instruction from, and support colleagues
