Children’s University and Forest School are innovative areas within Doncaster College that offer exciting learning outside the classroom for children from local schools and adults from external organisations. Children’s University was established at Doncaster College in 2007 and aims to help raise children’s aspirations, encourages independent learning and improve attitudes to learning. Forest School delivers outdoor learning experiences in an alternative educational environment. Learners who access Forest School range from nursery age children up to adults, including students from a variety of courses delivered here at Doncaster College.
Doncaster College would like to appoint an enthusiastic activities co-ordinator to manage and deliver the day to day events and curriculum for Children’s University and Forest School. The post holder will also support and deliver some Children’s University activities for children aged 7yrs – 14yrs, working closely with academies and business support areas across the College to deliver an exciting Children’s University curriculum.
You should have a minimum level 3 qualification in education, youth work or other relevant qualification and be able to deliver children and young people’s activities including outdoor learning. Forest School training will be provided to enable the post holder to deliver the outdoor curriculum.
