Commercial Catering Manager – up to £29,236 + Benefits

The Council has an impressive and varied portfolio of catering outlets, including established catering operations for staff, councillors, civic events and the cafe bar at the Gloucester Guildhall. More recently we have expanded by opening cafes and related facilities at the City Museum, the Folk Museum and Gloucester Crematorium. Now we are also about to embark on a programme of summer festivals and events with our outdoor catering operations, and plan to deliver a new catering outlet at Blackfriars Priory.

Having made significant investment in these facilities, we are looking for an experienced and talented catering professional to ensure these outlets deliver innovative and profitable catering solutions. Our aim is to clearly establish each outlet as a venue of choice, with creative and targeted menu design, and customer service of the very highest standard. Of course, you’ll also maintain the highest levels of food hygiene, health & safety in line with relevant legislation.

We believe that this is a wonderful opportunity to develop your skills and experience within a uniquely varied range of outlets. In return, as well as the competitive salary, other benefits include a final salary pension and flexible working arrangements.

You’ll need a relevant HNC qualification, or equivalent, plus a keen eye for managing costs and profitability, as well as a successful track record of managing similar operations.
