Supporting the promotion of our Children’s Services department, you’ll ensure that our communications are clear and reinforce our core messages. Dealing with media enquiries and promoting the work of the department will be a key part of your role, but you’ll also assist with the research and compilation of press releases, campaigns and newsletters, and you’ll be an effective link between staff and the wider communications team. It’s all about building effective relationships to realise all positive promotional opportunities.
Your pro-active, flexible approach will be combined with the ability to write articles and a working knowledge of the media. You’ll also have experience of a communications/PR environment and a relevant qualification will be highly valued.
This position is offered on a fixed term contract for a period of two years.
