The Job

Community Resilience Manager(12 months fixed term) £52,650 – £65,289 pa

Newham’s Community Safety Partnership has already established itself as a regional leader in the delivery of the government’s Prevent agenda. We have achieved this by developing innovative and locally sensitive approaches to tackle extremism which have been recognised by the Home Office and the Department for Education as best practice. The role of Community Resilience Manager leads the strategic delivery of Prevent in Newham; working with a wide range of statutory and community based partners to ensure Newham continues to be an inhospitable environment for extremists.

The Person

We are looking for a driven and talented individual who can build on our success and help further mainstream Community Resilience approaches in partnership operations. The successful candidate will have the skills, knowledge and credibility to work at chief officer level as well as significant experience of programme management. Knowledge and/or direct experience of Prevent and associated issues is essential.
