The Community Development Service provides support to councillors to deliver their Community Ward Forum meetings in a variety of community venues. There are vacancies within the pool of clerks, which we are seeking to fill.

We are looking for people who can provide an effective, high quality clerking service to the Community Ward Forum. You will be expected to help set up the venue, provide paperwork and assistance to residents and presenters attending and ensure the smooth running and delivery of the meeting. A key function of the role is to record details of the meeting and attendance and you will therefore need to have experience of taking accurate notes at meetings and writing these up as minutes and action points.

Most meetings take place in the evenings although we are also looking to appoint some clerks who are available during the day. The meetings last between 2 to 3 hours on average.

You must be willing to travel to all the community venues within the borough where the clerking service is provided.

If you would like to know more about the job, prior to submitting an application, please contact Dawn Polis on 020 8496 4123 or Claire Witney on 020 8496 4163.
