Construction Training Tutor - Carpentry and Joinery

We are looking for a Construction Training Tutor – Carpentry and Joinery to join us on a permanent basis. You will be required to deliver learning programmes in carpentry and joinery to training groups of approximately 15 students. You will hold a teaching qualification and have extensive industry experience.

As the tutor you will design and prepare learning materials and assess trainees and provide assistance and tutorial support. You will be required to maintain and provide records and statistical checks in relation to own teaching and be able to cope with demanding situations.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of working with those who are at risk of being excluded and those not in education, employment or training, and should be able to demonstrate and empathetic approach to teaching pupils who may experience multiple disadvantages both socially and academically.

You will also oversee the maintenance of equipment and ensure that Health and Safety requirements of the building are maintained in line with legal requirements.
