We are seeking twodynamic and experienced Contracts & Procurement Specialists to join ouraward winning team. Led by the Contracts& Procurement Manager you will be responsible for helping us to deliver aprofessional contract and procurement service both internally and to thepartners of the Oxfordshire Procurement Hub. These posts present an opportunity to work across differentorganisations. Excellent technical andinterpersonal skills are a pre-requisite, as well as the ability to engage withstakeholders at various levels to lead, challenge and influence better outcomesfor the customers and communities we serve.
MainDuties & Responsibilities
- Tosupport the service in delivery of the Corporate Plan and service plan atoperational level, including delivering relevant work programmes relating tothe efficient and effective management of key contracts and procurementactivity.
- To provide expertprofessional advice and support for the effective management and development ofkey suppliers through excellent contract management and supplier engagement, identifying andachieving best practice and good governance.
- Tomonitor service area delivery and support continuous service improvement,challenging existing practice and actively seeking ways of achieving greateroutcomes and leaner delivery (GOLD).
- Toact as ambassador for the service area both internally and externallyrepresenting the service area priorities and organisation initiatives asappropriate.
- Tocontribute to projects; to contribute to service project teams as required.
