We are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Revenues Officer to join our Council Tax team as part of our succession planning strategy.
The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of council tax procedures are conducted speedily and efficiently, including:
• Dealing with enquiries and providing advice to the public regarding council tax issues
• Actioning amendments to council tax accounts
• Dealing with general correspondence and maintaining accurate records electronically
In order to succeed in this role you will need to be well organised, methodical and computer literate. You should be able to communicate confidently with people from all backgrounds maintaining confidentiality at all times. The ability to manage your own workload sometimes under pressure will be one of your key skills. Previous local authority/council tax experience would be advantageous.
The post is offered on a full time basis (36 hours per week) Benefits include 26 – 31 days annual leave (depending on the length of Local Government Service), final salary pension scheme, flexible working hours, free car parking and free use of leisure facilities.
