We are looking to recruit Customer Advisors to deliver the frontline Customer Service within Hull City Council’s network of 9 Customer Service Centres. Various part time hours are available many of which will fit in around school hours i.e. 10 am until 2pm.
Based at the various locations within the network of 9 Customer Service Centres, you will be responsible for delivering front line Customer Service, providing information on a wide range of both Council Services and services of Partner Organisations, ensuring that as many enquiries as possible are resolved at first point of contact, that customers are encouraged to access all services available to them.
Candidates must be able to provide excellent customer service, ensuring that a positive image of the council is conveyed at all times and that Customer Service standards are met. It is desirable that candidates have 4 GCSEs or NVQ level 2 or an equivalent qualification in a related work area, experience of working within an operational environment which includes experience of dealing with the public on a face to face basis, experience of using and applying IT systems and office software for varying purposes. The ability to work on own initiative as well as contributing to work as a team is also a requirement.
Whilst the starting grade of these posts is a grade 3 these posts are offered on a development grade of 3 – 5 with progression being dependant on meeting set criteria and the availability of positions within the structure. If candidates are able to evidence they have experience and skills beyond the grade 3 they may be considered for a higher starting scale point.
The normal working week for these posts is Monday to Saturday (Saturdays on a rota basis with some evening working)
