Salary:£17,223 - £19,473 pa dependent upon experience (with possible progression through performance to £24,312 pa).

Location:Across the Council sites within the Borough 

2 part-time posts, 1 of which is maternity cover-

21.75 hours a week – To be worked over 4 days, between Monday and Friday.

The Maternity cover post is fixed-term for an initial six month period, possibility of extension.

The Team & Role

The Customer Services Team provides a comprehensive customer focused service to the local community through its telephone Contact Centre and Help Shops. Customer Services staff work across all areas of the service.

Help Line (the contact centre), which operates at the Town Hall and from the Help Shops using the latest technology, is a dedicated, one stop, telephone service, giving a quick and efficient response to a wide variety of customer queries such as planning, missed bins, abandoned cars, pest control, car parking fines and general information.

Help Shops, located at Banstead, Horley, Merstham, Redhill and a Help Shop surgery at Preston as well as three Customer Service Desks at Reigate Town Hall, assist customers with a whole range of enquiries from Benefits to Planning as well as signposting to other statutory and voluntary agencies.

We are currently seeking confident, motivated and conscientious individuals to become part of the team.

Experience/Education

Are you educated to A level standard or equivalent?

Are you a competent and confident user of computer systems, including MS Windows?

Are you prepared to work flexibly all of the Council’s Customer Service locations [The Help Line or Customer Service Desk’s at the Town Hall, and Help Shops at Banstead, Horley, Merstham, Preston and Redhill].
