Repairs and Maintenance (1 year Fixed Term Contract)

The Technical Services Department aims to provide a quality repairs and maintenance service to Barbican Residents and Housing Tenants and this opportunity starts the moment our customers contact us.

New technologies and most importantly, having the right people will help us to deliver:

  • Right first time and consistent services that meets the needs of the customer and the City of London Corporation.

and

  • Easy accessibility to services, by face-to-face contact, telephone or the website

To help us achieve these aims we now have a number of vacancies – on a 12-month fixed term contract, in our Customer Contact team, where you will respond to a range of customer enquiries by telephone, email and face to face. The role will also include administering the repairs and maintenance service.

Whilst experience of delivering customer services within a customer contact / service centre environment is desirable, what we are really looking for are people with an enthusiasm for customer service – a desire to achieve the best outcome for our customers, excellent communication skills, a willingness and ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment and excellent ICT skills. If this is you, then we want to hear from you.

You should also be educated to GCSE standard (or equivalent) including Math and English and previous experience of working within Housing Repairs service may be advantageous.
