The Natural History Museum is one of the world’s leading museums, internationally recognised for its dual role as a centre of excellence in scientific research and as a leader in the presentation of natural history through exhibitions and public programmes.
The Palaeontology Department manages over nine million specimens ranging from the earliest single-celled life forms to Bronze Age Biota. Our scientists collaborate with researchers from leading UK and overseas universities, undertake diverse consultancy projects and maintain comprehensive resources for preparing and researching its collections.
You will provide general office management, updating diary appointments, taking meeting notes and aiding the production of departmental reports. Good communication skills (including excellent written and spoken English), the ability to multitask and manage time effectively to meet agreed deadlines, as well as advanced team-working skills are essential.
