Deputy Director of Finance

Reporting to the Finance Director you will take responsibility for the delivery of the Association’s Business Reporting, Financial Control, Systems Improvement and Transactions Processing. This role acts as both the Deputy Finance Director for the Association and as Finance Director for the organisations non development subsidiaries.

• Establishing a customer focussed culture within Finance and monitoring the standards of service being delivered.
• Developing and leading a culture change, creating results driven environment and team ethos.
• Working with internal stakeholders to identify and define information required to improve reporting and understanding of Management Information.
• Building cross business relationships and raising the profile of Finance. Operating at a senior level as part of the Finance Management team.
• Working with the business to improve processes and controls, whilst assessing current financial systems and driving improvements and new systems implementations where required.

Who we’re looking for

You must be a fully qualified accountant with strong interpersonal skills and proven experience in delivering a high quality finance service. Proven leadership experience and staff development are an essential for this role. It is preferable that this experience will have been gained within a Housing business, where you have created and led a delivery culture.
